Vintage wedding themes just got a whole lot better with the creation of the knob bouquet. Like the popular brooch bouquets, this fun collection of odds and ends is a fabulous way to veer from the wedding norm and take the road less traveled.
100 Layer Cake offers an easy-to-follow DIY tutorial for a knob bouquet. The project, which requires little equipment, is also cheap: under $50 dollars. (Try getting an arrangement of roses and lilies for that price!) Their tutorial was inspired by a photo shoot by Simply Bloom; the bride’s bouquet stole the show, and it’s easy to see why.
Lace, fabric and trim
In nine simple steps, and just an hour or two of your time, you’ll have a bouquet that will turn heads at the wedding and reception. With sea glass, crystal and animal silhouettes already popular choices for dresser drawer, it would be easy to gather a collection of beautiful pieces. Make sure to check out local thrift stores as well as Anthropologie, and, if all else fails, rummage through your grandmother’s old furniture.
