From the photographer, Amelia and Dan: Amy and Anne started dating about 15 years ago and had a commitment ceremony in Hawaii 10 years ago. They are wonderful mothers who are not only patient, but offer up lots of nose kisses and snuggling embraces to their children Phinn and Harper. They decided that when gay marriage became a constitutional right everywhere in America they wanted to have an official wedding to celebrate. Amy and Anne love the beach and hope to eventually make it their home, so Folly Beach seemed like the perfect spot to bring all their family and friends to celebrate this momentous occasion. They are best friends, and their faces lit up with joy when they saw each other for the first time in their wedding dresses.

Amy and Anne held their wedding ceremony on Folly Beach behind the Beach House Charisma by the sea. Just before walking down the aisle, their son Phinn asked what he was supposed to do. When they told him he just had to walk with them, he sweetly responded, “I can do that.”

To complete the picture perfect day, dolphins swam by as they renewed their promises to one another on the beach. All of their guests used custom ‘A’ glasses to cheers the happy couple as they exited down the aisle. After some cocktails and appetizers, everyone gathered underneath the house for some delicious dinner by Salthouse Catering.
