Event entertainment booking service GigMasters.com released the results of their recent wedding song survey, with findings that announce the top songs and entertainment trends for 2013 weddings.

Diversity may be the major takeaway from the survey results. “We’re seeing a greater range of alternative choices.” says Marta Segal Block, GigMasters’ Editorial Director. “There are fewer songs that everyone chooses, and more diversity in choices with songs by artists like Christina Perri, Ray LaMontagne, and Jason Mraz rounding out the top five.”

And couples are really customizing their wedding entertainment , foregoing traditions such as the garter toss and adding in events like a Brother/Sister dance.

“With wedding videos continuing to go viralmore couples are seeing that it’s okay to be yourself and have fun with your wedding.” says Block. “We’ve seen an increase in alternative entertainment bookings for weddings, and expect to see that trend continue.”
