Voters overwhelmingly approved Amendment One, which bans legally recognizing same-sex marriage.\u201cEach and every generation has removed some barrier to full participation in the American dream,\u201d Bloomberg said. \u201cI would argue last week\u2019s referendum banning same-sex marriage shows just how much more work needs to be done to ensure freedom and equality for all people.\u201dThe Big Apple\u2019s leader hasn\u2019t just talked about marriage equality. Bloomberg serves as Mayors for the Freedom to Marry chairman.
