They decided to walk down the aisle together rather than having their parents walk them.\u201cWe received a lot of push back from family but we stuck to our guns,\u201d Moe says.The couple also included an inclusivity statement on the back of their wedding invitations, which they say helped educate others and also created an open line of communication with their family and friends about gender inclusivity.The statement read: “We are excited to be joined by our families and friends on August 10th, 2019 to celebrate our love. We have built our relationship and our lives on the values of love, empathy, respect, and inclusivity. On our wedding day, we ask that you uphold these values and help us create a welcoming space for all of our guests regardless of race, gender expression, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, socioeconomic status, or body shape. We look forward to having everyone there to celebrate our special day!\u201dMoe’s brother, Mack, officiated the ceremony. The couple danced their first dance to Sea of Love by Cat Power and also had a food truck at their reception.Gabby and Moe felt lucky that all of their vendors were accepting, but they also urge vendors to review the paperwork they give to couples.\u201cMost forms we received asked for the bride\u2019s name and groom\u2019s name.
