Unbeknownst to me, she had brought the lavender-scented candles (my favorite) from home, as well as a very sentimental matchbox. When she was done lighting the candles, she handed me the matchbox. Inside was the most perfect ring I’ve ever seen. Then my best friend, soulmate, and lover got down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of my life with her.
