She shares her secrets for standing out on the big day, and finding a look that\u2019s truly yours.EW: What should a man wear on his big day?\u00a0 EL: I’ve always been a sucker for a man in a suit, so, even though it’s a little cliche, I definitely think that’s the way to go on the big day. That said, it should be\u00a0something different than what he would wear to work. Something more special. Not necessarily a tuxedo, but still eveningwear appropriate. Think D&G, not Brooks Brothers.\u00a0 EW: What should a guy do to set himself apart from everyone and make him standout, but not too much? \u00a0 EL: The best ways to separate yourself from the crowd are always the subtlest ones. A small flash of color like a pocket square or bright socks. Maybe a little texture on the suit. Small additions that won’t overpower the overall tastefulness of your get-up.\u00a0  EW: What are your favorite items to on a suit?\u00a0 EL: I love a slender fitting two-button suit with a slim notch color and a matching pair of slim cut trousers, hemmed so there’s no break above the shoe.\u00a0  EW: What are some things that every groom or bride should\/need to do on their big day to make sure they look their best? EL: Planning an event is always stressful, so I think it’s important to make sure that the night before you don’t drink too much and get a lot of rest. It will help keep you looking fresh, and keep your energy up for the long day and evening. Then on the big day, really take your time getting ready. A long shower or bath to relax. Try to schedule the day so you\u2019re not frantic up until the last minute. It always seem like couples don\u2019t give themselves this time.  EW: In menswear today, what is the biggest mistake that couples can make when choosing what to wear for their wedding? \u00a0 EL: It\u2019s always nice to see clothing and accessories that fit the person wearing them. Always take your suit to the tailor – it’s worth it.
