The fact that its moniker is the same as our traveling gay-friendly wedding show made us like it even more.The star of TV Land\u2019s \u201cHappily Divorced\u201d is coming to New York to officiate the marriages of three lucky gay couples on March 6. Drescher received her minister license in order to perform these special ceremonies.The date signifies the kick off of the second season of \u201cHappily Divorced,\u201d premiering Wednesday, March 7, at 10:30 p.m. ET\/PT. \u201cHappily Divorced\u201d is inspired by the real-life story of sitcom favorite Fran Drescher (\u201cThe Nanny\u201d), and revolves around Fran, a Los Angeles florist who finds out after 18-years of marriage that her husband is gay. Unable to sell the house with the economy tanking, she and her gay ex-husband Peter (John Michael Higgins, \u201cBest in Show\u201d) must continue to live together happily divorced as they both re-enter the dating world.The contest is underway and end on 11:59 p.m. ET on Feb. 20. To enter, head to the contest’s Facebook page and either submit a video (not more than 120 seconds in length) or submit a photo and 350-word essay, in which you tell their own love story, explain how your relationship best represents the idea that \u201clove is love\u201d and why you want to be married by Fran. The contest is open only to residents of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.“I’m proud to be an American and I admire our constant strive toward liberty, justice, and equality for all,\u201d stated Drescher in a prepared statement. \u201cIt is our duty to recognize that injustice exists and shift national consciousness to correct that injustice.
