Gaby said yes, and they held hands across the table while talking for hours.“I knew just one ice cream date wouldn\u2019t cut it for me,” Moe says. “I was in.”As the date went on, Moe realized Gaby had barely touched their ice cream.“I asked them if they didn\u2019t like the flavor. ‘No, it\u2019s not that,’ they said, ‘I\u2019m just lactose intolerant.’ I burst out laughing, then stared at them. ‘Why didn\u2019t you say something? We could\u2019ve gone somewhere else.’ Gaby shrugged, ‘You wanted ice cream.\u201d’The moment is a running joke between the couple, but for Moe, it also showed the kind of person Gaby truly was.“At the bottom of it all lies the first of many selfless acts Gaby has done for me. When it\u2019s the right person, they\u2019ll let you pick an ice cream date when they\u2019re lactose intolerant.
