The UK-based company, Eylure, has created the new line to be more discreet than the typical female-versions, promising a natural look and volume for sparse lashes, recreating the Hollywood gaze.Though Eylure’s man-lashes are only available in the UK, we’re sure our States-side boys will soon have something to flutter about. In the meantime, lashes for the ladies work if you want to hop on the guylash trend bandwagon for your upcoming nuptials (I love MAC’s line of lashes). However, let us warn you, falsies aren’t for the faint of heart. Before batting those luscious lashes at your groom, here are some tips for applying fakes:Face FirstFalse eyelashes are one of the last steps in your beauty routine, so your face should be pretty much prepped before applying (i.e. moisturizer, bronzer, etc.).Trimming TouchHold the lashes up to your face—if they seem too long, give them a quick trim using scissors.GuylinerLightly line your eyes with eyeliner so that the two sets of lashes—real and faux—blend together.Stick TipDab the adhesive glue onto a Q-tip and drag across the fake lash. Glue often comes with the lashes, but I always rely on ShuUemura’s eyelash adhesive. It’s long-lasting and easy to remove at the end of the night.Look DownInstead of using the bathroom mirror, place a hand mirror on the bathroom counter and look down to apply them. This angle makes it much easier to see what you’re doing.Tweeze SqueezeUnless you have hands as steady as a surgeon and as nimble as an elf, I suggest using tweezers. Pinch the outer edge of the lash strip with the tweezers and apply to the outer corner of your eye, as close to the natural lash line as possible, pressing firmly. Use the other hand to smooth the rest of the strip across.Try, Try AgainIf you’re seeing double, try again. You want your lashes to look like one full, to-die-for unit.Close DryOnce applied, close your eyes to let them dry. This keeps them stuck in the base of your real lashes, where they’re most secure.Finishing TouchUse an eyelash curler for a unifying touch and fill in any skin spaces between the two sets of lashes with eyeliner. If you’re feeling ultra dramatic, swipe a coat or two of mascara.Brittny Drye is a New York City-based freelance writer who meticulously spins words for a variety of sites ranging from fashion to food, while she undertakes the excruciatingly long process of penning her first novel. Photo: FeelUnique.com "},{"@context":"https://schema.org/","@type":"BreadcrumbList
@type":"ListItem
