Now it’s in limbo whether their state will recognize their marriage. See more from their wedding. Photo: Cheatwood PhotographyWe’re riding on a seesaw in Idaho, and it’s pretty frustrating from Equally Wed HQ in Atlanta. We can only imagine the heartbreak going on in the hearts of LGBT Idahoans now who were planning to gather Friday, May 16, at courthouses across the state to celebrate same-sex marriages.As we reported earlier this week, Idaho’s gay marriage ban was overturned Tuesday when U.S. District Judge Candy Dale said the law unconstitutionally denied gay and lesbian residents their fundamental right to marry. Dale said Idaho must begin issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples starting Friday morning. Break out the Champagne, right? Nope, not so fast.A three-judge panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals issued a temporary stay while it considers whether a longer stay is needed. Gov. C.L. “Butch” Otter and Attorney General Lawrence Wasden both asked that Dale’s ruling be placed on hold while they appeal.We’ll keep you posted.Photo: Cheatwood Photography"},{"@context":"https://schema.org/","@type":"BreadcrumbList
@type":"ListItem
