The models in the styled shoot are a real-life married couple.This was the first styled shoot at a new performing arts center in La Jolla, California (The Conrad). The La Jolla Music Society owns The Conrad and performs there, so for the design inspiration for this photoshoot, Rachel Welland of Bliss Events chose a piece of art that inspired a composer to write music. The piece of art is “The Great Wave off Kanagawa” by Katsushika Hokusai, and it inspired “La Mer” by Claude Debussy. The primary colors for the styled shoot were shades of blue, white and gold.The style is modern. The floral designer created a custom large-scale floral headpiece for one of the marriers to wear.
