GOP presidential frontrunner Newt Gingrich and third wife, Calista. “Mr. Gingrich joins all the other major candidates who have made a similar commitment, save for one,\u201d NOM President Brian Brown said. Brown made a veiled threat to the Paul campaign. NOM, he said, plans an intense public relations campaign, in order to \u201cinform Iowa voters\u201d who will stand with them. The pledge requires candidates to support amending the U.S. Constitution, appoint U.S. Attorney General and Supreme Court justices who\u2019ll adhere to the Constitution\u2019s \u201coriginal meaning,\u201d defend the U.S. Defense of Marriage Act, create a presidential religious liberty commission, and support legislation that would allow District of Columbia to vote on marriage.
