The celebrity couple married at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens in Miami, Florida, on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2019.Together for nine years, the marriers got engaged in March, Harris tells Vogue. \u201cI actually bought her ring three years ago,\u201d Harris shared at the Thom Browne showroom in New York, while she was getting fitted for her tuxedo. \u201cI knew I wanted to marry her, but I didn\u2019t want it to be a traditional, conforming next step. I didn\u2019t want to feel like I just had to do it because that\u2019s what was next, so it took me a while to come to terms with what marriage looked like for us. I think it should be unique to each couple, and Ali and I spent a lot of time discussing what principles we wanted to align with and guide our way through life because it\u2019s so challenging, and we wanted to do it once, and we want to do right by each other.\u201dHarris proposed to Krieger at Clearwater Beach but it wasn’t fully planned out. \u201cI would actually carry the ring around with me,\u201d she tells Vogue. \u201cI really wanted to feel the moment.\u201d Krieger asked Harris to take a picture with her with the Florida sunset. \u201cShe was like, \u2018Get in it\u2014I want to take a picture together,\u2019\u201d Harris says. \u201cI pulled the ring out of my pocket, and she\u2019s taking this selfie of us, and I just held it in the selfie that we were taking. She said, \u2018Stop, what are you doing? Put your hand down!\u2019 and then she saw the ring. It was such an incredible moment. We were crying and laughing, and it was just so personal to us. It was a great way to finish a wonderful weekend together. It was so simple, but so right in the moment.\u201dThe lovers continued with their authentic love story by creating a wedding day that fit both their personalities at Miami’s Vizcaya, known for its majestic architecture and magical gardens on Biscayne Bay.According to PEOPLE, Krieger wore a gown by Pronovias \u2014 also the designer for the mothers of the brides\u2019 dresses and the bridesmaids\u2019 dresses\u2014and Harris wore a custom suit by Thom Browne.
