A creative, stylized wedding full of candlelight and romance! The wedding designer created a masculine and organic table scape constructed of super sleek chrome lanterns mixed with organic drift wood branches filled with succulents, black magic roses, black beauty roses, air plants moss and burgundy cymbidium blooms. All set on artisan original platinum vintage linen table runners and artisan custom wooden farm tables to be placed around the dance floor. A canopy of frosted mini globe string lights gave the area a soft and magical feeling. Fireworks exploded precisely at time of the cake cutting.\u00a0THE PROPOSAL \/\/ After being together for eight\u00a0years, four of which were long distance..and another four of living in Atlanta, SF, then ending up in Chicago, while watching TV one night, Scott turned to Alex and said \u201cshould we get married?\u201d and Alex said \u201csure!\u201d…it was also something Scott\u2019s dad strongly believed in and wanted to be a part of… so, the planning began.THE WEDDING DAY \/\/ We woke up to a beautiful sunny Palm Springs day. We had a relaxing morning of tennis and hanging out at the pool with all of our family and friends. We began getting ready around 2 p.m. and with photographs starting around 3 p.m, family joining us for photos as well. Our guests started arriving at the Gene Autry house around 5 p.m. and the wedding ceremony started on time at 5:30 p.m. Our best memory was feeling all the love and support from our family and friends as we walked down the aisle. It felt like we were floating down the aisle rather than walking! Amazing.The most amazing thing about our California wedding weekend was the amount of love and support our family and friends brought to the event. It was palatable, everyone felt it and it made every moment that much more special. Our d\u00e9cor was understated and masculine, using driftwood, succulents, orchids and lanterns. Red roses were incorporated in tribute to Alex\u2019s late mother and added special meaning to the event. The reception started at dusk and melted into strung lights and candle light. It was a sit-down dinner for 120 guest and the food was perfection. There were several very special moments. Alex\u2019s brother was his best man and gave an amazing welcome toast. Scott\u2019s father, who was Scott\u2019s best man, gave a wonderful speech that had everyone laughing and crying. Finally, we stood up and thanked everyone and to kick off the dancing we surprised everyone with a fireworks display that blew everyone away.
