Wambach led the Flash in scoring and was league runner-up for MVP. Huffman, a former standout at the University of Virginia, was a starting midfielder and defender. They were previously teammates with the Washington Freedom and magicJack in the WUSA and WPS.\u00a0Wambach took to Twitter at 5 p.m. Eastern on Wednesday, Oct. 9, to thank her supporters for the well wishes.Sarah and I wanted to thank everyone for all the love and support.
