(REI) and Starbucks, amongst others. Microsoft donated $200,000 and Amazon\u2019s CEO, Jeff Bezos, donated $2.5 million to the state\u2019s marriage equality efforts.Referendum 74, the ballot initiative to legally recognize marriage equality, comes after the Washington legislature passed marriage equality in Congress, but citizens have petitioned for a referendum vote. Washington is one of four states that have marriage equality votes on the ballot for the upcoming November election.
