The bouquets were assembled from local greenery pulled from the nearby forest and small flowers from Fred Meyer. Nothing was pretextual. Everything was chosen. Two Ceremonies, One DayRachel and Jamie structured their wedding day around two distinct moments, and both mattered in different ways.“We did 2 separate ceremonies, kind of,” Rachel says. “We did a private first look where we read each other our personal vows. (Which I saw a ton of people recommending this online. And I’m so glad we did it.)”That private exchange gave them something the public ceremony couldn’t: full presence with each other, unobserved. Then came the ceremony their guests witnessed. Jamie’s oldest brother, the same person who dropped her off on their first date, officiated. He led them through traditional vows in front of their family and friends.Jamie walked down the aisle with her dad. Rachel walked with her younger brother and her best friend. Their first dance was to “My Wish” by Rascal Flatts.Forest Greens and Fred Meyer FlowersThe color palette stayed natural throughout. Rather than ordering arrangements through a florist, Rachel and Jamie built their bouquets themselves, combining local greenery from the forest near Yachats with small flowers picked up from Fred Meyer. The result was something that felt rooted in the place where they married, unpretentious and specific to them. The Yachats Inn, a small coastal property, matched the low-key energy of the day. No grand ballroom, no manicured event space. Just a venue that fit.Made by Hand, Made by Them“We DIYed pretty much everything and had a laid back kind of vibe,” Rachel says. “We also had it at a small coastal inn. We aren’t fancy people so the venue was perfect.”Their friends and family noticed. “All our friends and family said the wedding was so us,” she adds. That’s not a small thing. A wedding that reads as genuinely reflective of the people getting married takes real intention, even when it looks effortless. The DIY approach, the coastal inn, the forest bouquets, the casual catering from Mexican Express, it all held together because it came from the same place. \u2764\ufe0fWho Made It HappenFeatured LGBTQ+ Inclusive and Queer Affirming Wedding VendorsPhotographer: River and Root PhotographyWedding Ceremony and Reception Venue: Yachats InnAttire for Rachel Snow: AzazieAttire for Jamie Snow: Bree’s Upscale ResaleCatering: Mexican ExpressFiled underlesbiantwo bridesYachatsOregonYachats Inncoastal weddingspring weddingDIY weddingintimate weddingnatural floralsOregon coastPacific Northwest wedding[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]"},{"@context":"https:\/\/schema.org\/","@type":"BreadcrumbList","itemListElement":[{"@type":"ListItem","position":1,"name":"These two brides followed their private vow exchange with a coastal spring DIY wedding in Yachats, Oregon","item":"https:\/\/equallywed.com\/these-two-brides-followed-their-private-vow-exchange-with-a-coastal-spring-diy-wedding-in-yachats-oregon\/#breadcrumbitem"}]}]
