Alexandra Dugan is an experienced and versatile photographer who believes in telling stories and preserving timeless moments for her couples— blending in throughout the day between the rehearsed, between the chaos, and between those significant, yet fleeting moments that often last only a second or two. Clients trust her for an innate ability to make taking photos fun, and perhaps more importantly, comfortable. Alex uses an interactive approach to portraits/posing so it doesn’t ever look or feel awkward, and continues to refine her expertise by shooting a variety of weddings and receptions large and small, within both traditional and non-traditional venues.
Oh, and during the reception, she’s very likely to request a song (or two) and get down with you and your guests.
Alex is a committed and unwavering advocate for marriage equality and gay rights. In 2015, she volunteered to photograph the first ever legal LGBTQ mass wedding ceremony in Oklahoma during that summer’s annual OKC Pride event, and continues to lend her services to other events and businesses when called upon. As the proud daughter of a gay mother, Alex understands the complex nature and uniqueness that can sometimes accompany same-sex weddings, and is always sensitive to special requests and needs.
Also an avid speaker, Alex has been featured at photo conferences locally and regionally, and occasionally speaks to classrooms at the University of Central Oklahoma.
While based in Oklahoma City, she is always available for destination weddings, or any other events outside of Oklahoma and beyond.
