When I became a wedding officiant in 2012, it truly was my calling. I believe my three strongest talents (writing, speaking and connecting with clients) are the three essential qualities needed to be an officiant. It brings me unbridled joy and immense pride to hear couples, family members and guests tell me that they felt like I had known them for years and that they have never enjoyed a wedding so much.
My sincere wish is to deliver just what you want – much the same as I would want to be treated on my precious day. I consistently hear “ we want sweet, simple, humorous, casual, fun, spiritual” from my couples. To further refine that, I encourage face-to-face meets, Skypes, and as many calls as needed. I spend as much time prior to the ceremony whenever possible – esp. if there is no rehearsal. I engage the guests, offer up spontaneity but never waver from your requests and desires.
I am sensitive to special needs and requests and ALWAYS connect with my fellow vendors for a seamless and professional ceremony. If you are looking for an intimate elopement, then I can even act as your “mini-planner”. It also gives me great pleasure to answer local questions, promote the Fabulous Florida Keys and all we have to offer and shine a positive light on my stellar fellow Wedding Pros. My favorite weddings are the ones where I know the authenticity of the couple’s words and feelings shine through.
My favorite moment is hands down – the first time a partner sees the other at their ceremony or as they walk out together. It takes my breath away and reinforces why I am so passionate about being a wedding officiant.
