George Washington’s Mount Vernon Estate is owned and maintained in trust for the people of the United States by the Mount Vernon Ladies’ Association, a private, non-profit organization. The Association welcomes outside organizations or companies to co-host private evening events in the locations listed below.
East Lawn

The Donald W. Reynolds Museum and Education Center
Capacities: Seated: 100; Standing: 300+
The Donald W. Reynolds Museum and Education Center offers an intimate event space coupled with access to Mount Vernon’s brand-new, award-winning Museum and Education Center exhibits. Please note that food and beverage are limited to the lobby area.
Ford Orientation Center
Capacities: Seated: 300; Standing: 400+
The Ford Orientation Center is a stunning split-level building, ideal for both standing and seated events. This building also houses two movie theaters and the remarkable Mount Vernon in Miniature in the center of the Lower Lobby.
George Washington’s Distillery & Gristmill
Capacities: Indoor: 60; Tented: 250
Just three miles from the Estate, Washington’s Distillery & Gristmill offers unique event spaces for smaller gatherings.
Mount Vernon Inn Restaurant
Located just steps from the Mansion, the entire Inn or individual dining rooms can be reserved for daytime or evening events. The Mount Vernon Inn offers a relaxing escape from Washington, D.C. and will transport your guests back to the charming world George Washington knew!
