N<\/span>icole and Marlene’s courthouse elopement was “casual and fun” and filled with “lots of love,” says the couple.\u00a0 They had a 3-month engagement after Nicole proposed to Marlene at sunset on the beach. The pandemic then led them to the courthouse in Santa Cruz to elope.<\/p>\n

“We didn\u2019t want to wait an undetermined amount of time to get married,” says Nicole, “especially because a lot of my family is on the east coast. We told the people in our lives we were going to get married, but they unfortunately couldn\u2019t attend. We really enjoyed the intimacy of just us (and our photographer, Victoria<\/a>) at the wedding though, and it was really nice.”<\/p>
