The red carpet sparkled this past Sunday at the Primetime Emmys, with some of Hollywood’s biggest names in gay entertainment nominated for and awarded Academy honors. Their glitz and glam is perfect inspiration for a black-tie wedding.

Glee was nominated for an impressive 19 awards, with Academy nods for gay stars Jane Lynch, Ryan Murphy and Chris Colfer and a win apiece for both Lynch and Murphy. Neil Patrick Harris took home the Outstanding Guest Actor award for his cameo in the musical comedy.

Jesse Tyler Ferguson of Modern Family, another smash-hit known for its support of the gay community and progressive plots, was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor. “They’re doing a really good job of getting us in there,” he told USA TODAY, referring to ABC’s diverse crop of gay characters.

Funny lady Wanda Sykes, who arrived arm-in-arm with her stunning wife Alex, was recognized for her writing on her comedy series I’ma Be Me.
