Equally Wed launched in 2010 to New York Times’ acclaim to showcase LGBTQ+ weddings to validate the relationships that traditional bridal magazines wouldn’t show. We were born out of the need to command visibility for our authentic love, and the need isn’t over. We’re an LGBTQ+ owned LGBTQ+ inclusive online publication for wedding inspiration and information, as well as a vociferous and creative voice in the marriage equality and wedding equality movement. Add your voice by submitting your story. You are an important part of this community!
What we’re looking for:
- Real LGBTQ+ Weddings
- Real LGBTQ+ Engagements
- Personal Essays
- Expert Advice
- Styled shoots of real LGBTQ+ couples and LGBTQ+ folks
- Family portraits
We accept submissions via Two Bright Lights and Submittable. Two Bright Lights is for wedding professionals to connect with media outlets. Submittable is the place for couples and wedding professionals to submit to us. Please click on the images below to submit.
*Please note that we are a small (but mighty!) team, and our response time is generally two weeks but sometimes more. Not every submission will be accepted, but all will be read and lovingly considered.
