The very first wedding I attended as a child was of two women. I liked their flowing dresses. It wasn’t legal but it was beautiful and sincere and carried all of the weight the couple needed.
My own gay wedding was also before legalization and required multiple trips to Canada and a FedEx account.
Since then I’ve had the honor of officiating many queer weddings, both religious and secular. There is something so precious about celebrating LGBTQIA+ love publicly and with witnesses – and to be able to sign my gay name to official licenses as an ordained pastor!
I would be delighted to work with you as a couple (or thrupple, or…) to create a meaningful ritual celebrating your love. Premarital counseling (covering the marital hot topics of family of origin, sex, children, religion, and money) also available.

I absolutely love the process of getting to know every single couple I work with, and for the chance to stand in front of their chosen family and tell their love story. I would LOVE to share yours!
When my sister-in-law wanted to have a commitment ceremony in 2011 (weddings still weren’t legal then) we had the hardest time finding someone who would officiate for the two of them. Somewhere along the line, I thought, “I should do this”. No one should have to jump thru hoops to marry the person they’re in love with!
Six years later I became ordained. Two years after that I left my day job to be a full-time wedding officiant. And a year later, I enrolled in the Celebrant Academy, graduating from their masterclass as a Professional Master Celebrant. Now, thanks to equally wed, I’m an Equality Enthusiast as well!
When we work together, you are going to feel accepted, and celebrated. Call me…
Clients from the fullness of the LGBTQ+ spectrum are welcome and enthusiastically affirmed. Religious, non-religious and interfaith, multi-faith, agnostic and atheist wedding celebrations. Previous marriages, kids, living together, families formed in alternative ways — all welcome. Whether its a hilltop elopement or a big affair, I want to help make your day and your ceremony special.
My name is Tirzah. I offer Wedding Coaching, Premarital Coaching, and Officiating services. I am a Queer-Owned business and started NearlyWed Coaching after spending a decade as a Licensed Social Worker. After navigating the wedding industry when my wife and I were getting married in 2019, we experienced firsthand that not all vendors are inclusive and aware of how to make Queer couples feel seen and safe. I started NearlyWed Coaching to change how couples are getting married by providing a support system that focuses on the emotional side of the wedding planning process and affirms and celebrates couples of all identities!

We are a team of wedding officiants with aloha. Based on Oahu but serving all islands of Hawaii. Our officiants perform heartfelt ceremonies with modern Hawaiian influences.
Weddings are special and sacred moments. I know this to be true first-hand, as a married queer person and as a queer spiritual leader. It’s my mission and a true honor as a wedding officiant to pay that magic forward to other queer couples.
Each wedding ceremony should best reflect the couple at its center. I work with couples closely to co-create the wedding ceremony that fits who they are and uplifts and celebrates their values and beliefs. As an ordained Unitarian Universalist minister, I have the experience and knowledge to co-create wedding ceremonies that exist across the spectrum of religious to secular. I can offer spiritual and/or religious framing to a ceremony, but I also have flexibility and knowledge to lead ceremonies that are deep and meaningful and do not rely on religious words or framing. It’s part of my role to help couples create a ceremony that is fully and completely representative of you and your love for one another.
I’d love to work with you! I’m located in Los Angeles, CA, and I am willing to travel. Please be in touch to set up an initial conversation about your special day.

I’ve been marrying people for over 15 years as a justice of the peace. I enjoy helping create and capturing romantic, meaningful, fun, and chill weddings. Although I officiate, photograph and design flowers for big weddings, I am known for making planning elopements and small weddings easy to plan because I offer three services and planning guidance. I have a second shooter and photography assistant when I am officiating the ceremony. I also know all the great venues and other vendors in Vermont.

Congratulations on your engagement! Each couple is unique and so each wedding ceremony needs to be unique. The most beautiful ceremonies reflect the hopes, dreams, love, traditions, and values that you bring to each other.
I can provide resources and guidance throughout the ceremony planning process. As you determine how you want your wedding to be structured, I will help you both to understand the meaning of different rituals and customs (both religious and secular) and to select readings, prayers, and music that you find meaningful. Your ceremony can be creative and can include as many or as few religious elements and cultural traditions as you want. I can also help you prepare vows if you choose to write them yourself and determine how you would like to involve your family, friends, and guests in the ceremony.
In addition to providing rabbinical and cantorial services for Jewish weddings, I am comfortable conducting both interfaith and secular wedding ceremonies and am happy to co-officiate with special friends or family, or clergy from other faiths. I believe strongly in marriage equality and delight in serving and supporting the LGBTQIA+ community. In life – and especially at a wedding – everyone should feel loved and embraced.
