With kids, a new show and a fairly recent move, we figured Rosie O’Donnell has a lot on her plate, so we took it upon ourselves to dream up her wedding for her. Check out our picks for the comedian and her bride.

New show, new life and, soon, a new wife! When we heard that Rosie O’Donnell, star of OWN Network’s “The Rosie Show” which debuted in October, popped the question to girlfriend Michelle Rounds, we immediately went into wedding planning mode. If we were to play wedding planner to this adorable celebrity duo, these would be our selections for Rosie and Michelle’s big day.

P.S. Rosie, feel free to use these ideas—all we ask in return is an invite to the wedding!

The Flowers: As an ode to her soon-to-be wife, we love the idea of Rounds carrying a beach-inspired bouquet that features roses, such as this Day at the Beach bridal bouquet from The Little Bouquet Shop. It features an assortment of 20 seashells, camellias, white gladiolas, amaranth, white roses and Swarovski pearls. And there’s a matching Day at the Beach boutonniere for O’Donnell.

The Suit: O’Donnell’s wardrobe is filled mostly with leggings and Eileen Fisher tunics, but we have a feeling the comedian will be willing to suit up for her nuptials. Our pick is Brooks Brothers’ beach-worthy linen suit separates, paired with electric blue cuff links from Tiffany & Co.,  not only as her something blue, but as an ode to her mother who passed away when O’Donnell was just a preteen. Her mother used to wear an electric blue robe—the only piece of clothing that O’Donnell says she has been moved by. “To this day, that bathrobe is the only piece of clothing I can actually see in my mind. I have no visuals of prom dresses or favorite sweaters or shoes I couldn’t live without,” she once said in an Elle interview. “Clothes are just something I use for cover, leaving room for one electric blue memory.”

The Food: Since the two met in a Starbucks, it’s only fitting to somehow incorporate the coffee giant into the big day. Their cake pops, which come in a variety of flavors such as rocky road and tiramisu, are the perfect sweet treat to delight guests.

The Location: O’Donnell told reporters at the Michigan Avenue magazine’s holiday party that she would love to get married on the beach. “We may do a private ceremony in the spring, and then get married for real in the summer with everybody invited!” she exclaimed. Our pick is Bacuti & Tara Beach Resort in gay-friendly Aruba. Standing side-by-side on 14 acres of sugary sand in the low-rise hotel area of the island (versus the very touristy high-rise area where the buildings eclipse the sun and everything else native to the island) are two Mediterranean-influenced buildings under the name (and ownership) of Bucuti and Tara Beach Resorts. Rated four stars each, they boast a modern design that incorporates rich woods and earthy tones with a splash of brightness in their entirely eco-friendly atmosphere. And if the newlyweds decide to honeymoon there, we have an extensive honeymoon itinerary they can follow.

The Dress: Originally, their whirlwind romance was to be made official over the Christmas holidays, but after going wedding dress shopping at a Vera Wang boutique in Chicago with her fiancee, plans changed.  “I saw her in that dress and thought, ‘You know what, everybody that loves you should see you in that dress,’” explains O’Donnell. “Afterwards, we went out to dinner at Barney’s and decided to do a real wedding.” Our pick for her bride would be Vera Wang’s Dylan gown, a strapless full baby doll sheath. The flowy design is perfect for a beach wedding and the lace bodice and crisscross bow detail is ideal for the blond fashionista.
