OUR PROCESS EXPLAINED
Nominations for Equally Wed Awards were opened in January 2020. For several weeks, nominations were open for the public to nominate the best LGBTQ+ inclusive vendors and venues in the wedding industry. On Feb. 15, 2020, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern, we closed nominations. The vendors and venues who get the most nominations in their category advanced to the voting round. Polls opened on March 13, 2020 and the public voted for their favorite LGBTQ+ inclusive vendors and venues. Voting ended on March 31, 2020. The finalists with the most votes won in their respective categories. We had one tie with the exact amount of votes.
