Marlon and Lesly met through mutual friends who thought the two should get together. Although both were hesitant at first and not looking for something serious, a mutual friend said “I just want you to meet as friends. I am not asking you to marry the guy!” Little did she know their meeting would lead to a connection lasting a lifetime! Years later, the two along with their precious puppies started a fashion line, and will soon have the wedding of their dreams.
THE PROPOSAL
Marlon proposed to Lesly in San Francisco at the Japanese Tea Garden on a gorgeous day. Although Marlon planned on proposing at the penguin exhibit at Golden State Park, he felt there were too many distractions. So, they took a stroll all the way to the Japanese Tea Garden, where they discussed the penguin exhibit. Marlon started the proposal by saying during a penguin’s mating ritual, a stone is presented to the penguin they want to spend their life with. He told Lesly he got something from the exhibit’s gift shop and gave him a small box. When Lesly opened the box, a platinum ring with an eternity row of black diamonds and two white diamonds in the center shined up at him. Marlon announced Lesly was his penguin and then proposed. As Lesly’s dad always quoted in Spanish, “How beautiful life is to live it for eternity…with you.”
