As you may or may not know (and we’re hoping you do), Skyfall, the latest James Bond film, was released a couple of months ago. It’s been getting rave reviews, but over here we’re more focused on clothes than explosions. We’ll give you a hint: the name’s Ford, Tom Ford.
This marks the second time the high-end designer has created looks for the 007 franchise. “I was very excited when I was first approached by [film producer] Barbara Broccoli about dressing Daniel Craig as James Bond,” Ford told UK Vogue. “I worked with Jany Temime [Skyfall’s costume designer] on creating the perfect classic wardrobe. I have been dressing Daniel for some time and know that he looks best when simply dressed, so we did some beautiful suits, tuxedos and daywear. We didn’t really modify our suits, as James Bond is a bit like our guy—classic and extremely elegant.”

We took a cue from Ford’s suit styling to create a classic, wedding-worthy ensemble that is sure to inspire. First we’re honing in on one Bond’s light gray suit. Recreate the look with a wool slim-fit herringbone suit, such as this one from Calvin Klein ($550); it has a silvery, shimmery quality to it that will surely make it a standout. |

Regardless of the suit you opt for, we’ve found a light blue pinpoint oxford from Paul Frederick ($49.50) to match both styles, and with that Skyfall-featured tab collar to boot (for the first time in Bond history, our favorite secret agent donned a tab collar). And since Bond mostly wears long ties, we’re throwing in this dark navy silk tie from Ralph Lauren priced at $155.
Finally, to keep the looks classic and simplified, we’re going to go with these nicely priced brown cap toe oxfords from Zara ($99.90), along with a brown leather belt, also from Zara ($35.90).
