Alyssandra BarnesAlyssandra Barnes
Contributing Writer

Alyssandra Barnes is a junior reporting major at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During school, most of her free time is spent being Editor in Chief of Rival Magazine. Rival Magazine is a joint UNC and Duke University student publication that covers student activism and university issues. It publishes five times a year, and is available in print and online. She’s originally from Brevard, N.C., a small mountain town on the edge of Pisgah National Forest. When she’s home, she loves hiking and swimming in one of the 200 waterfalls in the county. A thrill seeker at heart, she enjoys doing extreme activities; the most intense adventure was completing her solo flight in a single engine aircraft (she highly recommends taking time to learn how to fly, as it “was the most rewarding thing I have ever done”).

He is an aspiring writer, and while he wholeheartedly pours himself into the world of fashion, this is his first foray into the world of weddings.
