Anne has worked as a wedding editor at a variety of wedding magazines and websites including Martha Stewart Weddings, Brides.com and aisledash.com, as well as her own blog, From “I Will” to “I Do.” She writes wedding planning and style columns for WeddingWire and Equally Wed and is a digital editorial consultant at Vera Wang, where she oversaw the development of the new Vera Wang on Weddings app for iPad and iPhone. She is the author of The Wedding Organizer published by russell+hazel. Her wedding advice has been featured in hundreds of media outlets, including The New York Times, FOX News, Instyle Weddings and WEtv.
A Manhattan-based freelance writer specializing in style, arts and entertainment, Jonathan also contributes to OutSpokenNYC.com (“Your new gay best friends in the heart of Manhattan”). A jack of all trades, he’s a social media addict to the core and can be found at the MA3 Agency during the daily grind.
Vanessa Friedman is a Brooklyn-based queer feminist writer and photographer with a passion for social justice and a penchant for floral print dresses. Her work has been published both online and in print at publications such as Autostraddle, CosmoGirl, City Guide, and Time Out New York. Vanessa is currently trying to figure out exactly what she wants to be when she grows up.
Bobby Schuessler is a New York City–based style writer. When not bringing you inside the world of wedding fashion and beauty, he contributes to print and online publications such as Lucky, SheKnows and Refinery29. A closet-organizing aficionado, Bobby divides his time between attending fashion shows and watching reruns of Sex and the City with a cocktail in his hand.
Alyssandra Barnes is a junior reporting major at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During school, most of her free time is spent being Editor in Chief of Rival Magazine. Rival Magazine is a joint UNC and Duke University student publication that covers student activism and university issues. It publishes five times a year, and is available in print and online. She’s originally from Brevard, N.C., a small mountain town on the edge of Pisgah National Forest. When she’s home, she loves hiking and swimming in one of the 200 waterfalls in the county. A thrill seeker at heart, she enjoys doing extreme activities; the most intense adventure was completing her solo flight in a single engine aircraft (she highly recommends taking time to learn how to fly, as it “was the most rewarding thing I have ever done”).
John fully realizes he’s got one of the best gigs out there. Based in Scottsdale, Ariz., John travels all over the globe, experiencing some of the world’s most spectacular resorts and destinations as a travel writer. A regular contributor to Destination I Do magazine and a newcomer to Equally Wed Magazine, he also has extensive experience writing about everything from action figures to endoscopy. He is happiest on a beach, in a hammock with a good book.
A Jersey girl who grew up as an Air Force brat and now lives in Birmingham, Ala., Jennifer has been a bridesmaid in six weddings and knows when it comes down to it, marriage is about one thing only: love. A graduate of Penn State University and the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University, she moved to Dixie to work at Southern Living magazine and stayed for love. She has written for Women’s Wear Daily, Birmingham magazine and HellaWella.com and now serves as assistant editor of a national publication. In addition to showing off pictures of her new niece, running 5Ks and half marathons, and doing community service, Jennifer loves to watch romantic comedies on repeat and read books about the Tudors. She also writes about her weight-loss journey and love for fashion on her personal blog, Stellar Fashion and Fitness.
Ryan Roschke is a recent graduate from the University of California, Berkeley. He is an aspiring writer, and while he wholeheartedly pours himself into the world of fashion, this is his first foray into the world of weddings. When he’s not writing or figuring out which bow tie goes best with his outfit, he is almost certainly eating or thinking about eating.
