Chief U.S. District Judge Vaughn Walker has announced that he will issue his opinion in the landmark Prop 8 trial (Perry v. Schwarzenegger) this afternoon. Walker’s verdict will decide the fate of Proposition 8, the voter-approved ban on legal recognition of gay marriage in California, enacted in November 2008.
