A group of Pennsylvania wedding vendors gifted a styled vow renewal to a deserving couple for their fifth wedding anniversary. On their wedding day, Colin and Tyler’s original photographer never showed up. The creative team for this styled photoshoot knew that this would be a wonderful way of giving the couple a new set of memories, this time with a lavish, intimate party and full photo gallery.
Upon asking Colin and Tyler to be their models for this moody, celestial-inspired shoot, the team discovered that this aesthetic happened to be their dream. The plan quickly morphed into a vow renewal with the lovers’ closest friends and several locations for photos and a cozy living room reception. On the day of the shoot, overcast skies provided dramatic lighting for outdoor photos, complementing the moody lighting of the indoor space, which was filled with taper candles, dried botanicals and accents of sprawling greenery.
The couple wore all-black suits, each with a red, black and metallic floral accent to their look: a 3-D multimedia floral tie for one spouse and a matching bustle with a black tulle skirt for the other. After taking photos outside with their vow renewal guests, Colin and Tyler met their drag queen officiant inside, a celestial scene of stars, moon phases and galaxy motifs.

Space-inspired macaroons and a navy galaxy-frosted cake were featured alongside stellar dinner plates and gold silverware. Deep blue silk table runners and rainbow-colored metallic confetti added notes of glamor as the spouses and their guests enjoyed their cake, macaroons and chocolate-covered strawberries. One friend played the piano, gracing the room with a melody as Colin and Tyler celebrated their first five years of marriage and their future.
