Senator Ed Murray and Michael Shiosaki married in front of about 250 people Saturday, Aug. 10, at St. Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral on Capitol Hill. Murray, who is currently running for the mayor of Seattle, was the architect behind Washington State’s gay-marriage law, and he often referred to his now-husband Shiosaki as an example of why gays and lesbians should be allowed to legally marry. The Seattle Times has more on their wedding. Congrats to the happy couple!
