Married couple Dr. Brent Ridge and Josh Kilmer-Purcell are known for their reality show, The Fabulous Beekman Boys, which chronicled the efforts of these New York City men to become full-time farmers in upstate New York.
Their beautiful farm, Beekman 1802, has become known around the world for its body care products made from goat milk.
Ridge and Kilmer-Purcell also got married at the farm, and now, for one day only, they are giving that same opportunity to other couples.
In honor of Pride Month, the couple is hosting a “Let Love Bloom” wedding marathon. It will take place on June 26, 2021, the anniversary of the day marriage equality became the law of the land (as well as Ridge and Kilmer-Purcell’s own wedding anniversary.)
For this 24-hour event, they hope to facilitate about one hundred 15-minute weddings atop what they call “Matrimony Hill.”
The weddings will literally go all night.

To top it all off, the ceremonies will take place inside a gorgeous rainbow-colored glass house (pictured above), an installation by the artist Tom Fruin. A professional photographer will be provided, along with an officiant.
“This past year has made us all realize the importance of ‘moments’ both big and small,” the couple told New York Upstate. “We thought allowing people to get married ‘inside a work of art’ was a wonderful way to celebrate love, commitment, beauty and kindness.”
Interested couples should register here. It costs $100.00. Couples will also need to secure marriage licenses on their own.
A portion of the proceeds will also go to the Ali Forney Center, which supports homeless LGBTQ youth.
As part of the farm’s mission, the Beekman Boys have a special focus on spreading kindness. This wedding marathon is part of accomplishing that goal.
On their website, they write that they hope to make 2021 the kindest year yet. They are even launching a Kindness Council to help make their community a kinder place.
