My wife and I got married at Hacienda Sac Chich in February of 2024, and our experience was phenomenal. We actually booked the venue sight unseen which was scary, but Jillian made us feel very confident in our choice and this feeling was confirmed when we finally visited! The whole process was very smooth and easy, and our visits were very relaxing with plenty of time to wander the property and envision our wedding day without rushing. The on-site staff are also very kind and they do a great job. Every room is decorated beautifully and all of our guests who stayed on the property with us really enjoyed it and were super impressed. Some even went to the nearby town to see some Mayan ruins before the wedding and had a great time. On the wedding day, the Hacienda staff prepared a buffet breakfast and lunch and snacks, and the next day we had a taco cart dinner for our guests (all an extra fee) and the food was DELICIOUS. Super fresh and expertly made. Spending the day after the wedding swimming in the two pools was awesome, both buildings have a stereo system so your phone can connect to the pool area.
As an LGBT couple, booking wedding vendors had the potential to be stressful for us. But when we first approached Jillian, she made it clear that we were 100% welcome at Sac Chich and that her and her staff would do everything possible to make sure us and our guests were completely comfortable there. We truly value this level of commitment to equality by a wedding venue! We had zero issues during our stay and during our wedding. We highly recommend that queer couples consider Hacienda Sac Chich to have a safe, affirming, and amazing dream wedding.
