Lena Dunham produces genderqueer fashion documentary about suitmakers Bindle & Keep

Suited, a new film exploring genderqueer fashion, premiered at Sundance film festival this week in the U.S. documentary competition. Directed by Jason Benjamin and produced by Lena Dunham (alongside Jenni Konner, Carly Hugo, Stacey Reiss and Ericka Naegle), Suited takes a behind-the-scenes look at Bindle and Keep, a custom-suit company we’ve highlighted on the pages of Equally Wed here and here.
The film follows a group of clients seeking a personalized experience at Brooklyn’s Bindle & Keep, a bespoke tailoring company that caters to a diverse LGBTQ community who not only want to look good, but also need tailored clothes to represent their true identity. Suited will premiere on HBO in June 2016.
Dunham’s sister, Grace, is the subject of the documentary, who Dunham discusses in the below video from The Wrap. Dunham describes her sister Grace as “A gender non-conforming person born in a woman’s body with a radical attitude about what life can be. She’s the coolest person.”
