The New Yorker offers an understated response to the Supreme Court’s historic ruling on DOMA with this cover of Bert and Ernie in an oft-experienced but rarely depicted in the media scene from the domestic life of couples, straight, gay or otherwise, watching the evening news together. And of course, the validation that the decision gave to our relationships, that they deserve to be equally recognized under the United States government.
