NSYNC star Lance Bass and husband Michael Turchin officially became fathers last week. On Friday, Bass announced the birth of their twins, Violet and Alexander, on Instagram, with an adorable photo of each baby’s footprints.

“The baby dragons have arrived!!” Bass wrote. “I can not express how much love I feel right now. Thank you for all the kind wishes. It meant a lot. Now, how do you change a diaper??! Ahhhhhhhh!”

Since then, the couple seems delighted to be settling into fatherhood. Yesterday, Bass posted a photo of himself next to both sleeping babies, along with a series of other photos of the new family. “Haven’t slept much in 5 days and I’m covered in ick but I’ve never been so happy!” Bass wrote.

The couple has since posted even more photos, making it clear they are madly in love with their newborns.

The couple announced they were expecting twins in May, sharing the news in a horror-style Tik Tok video. They also opened up to People about their challenges with starting their family.

“We went through nine different egg donors, which is rare,” Turchin said. “We got all the way down the path of about to retrieve their eggs. Some just wouldn’t produce enough eggs; some weren’t good genetic matches. If you’re going to be a match, you don’t want to even risk it.”

Bass also said he hopes they can provide much-needed representation for LGBTQ+ families.

“There are not many great examples of gay couples having families in the public eye,” he said. “We knew that we wanted to be very open and transparent with our experience because we wanted gay couples to be able to relate to us and say, ‘Oh my gosh, we’re going through that too.’ Or like, ‘Oh, now that’s, hopefully, what we can do.’ And give them a kind of a blueprint of how to do it. If you want to start that family, start that family. It’s going to be incredible.”

Congratulations to the happy couple!
