The lovely pastel shades of watercolors can be a perfect accent for your wedding. Sticking with one or two colors, or going with a rainbow theme for an extra dash of gay pride, the soft tones fit in beautifully. From table centerpieces to wall artwork, watercolors can fit in anywhere and are sure to add an unexpected element for guests.
There are endless ways to incorporate watercolors into the reception. Ombre is hot right now, so two-toned or white-to-colored linens, such as tablecloths or napkins, would be trendy and not too bold of a choice. For more of a splash of colors on the tables, watercolor dishes, such as bowls, may be the perfect option.
For something the guests can keep, try small framed watercolors (store-bought or DIY). If you already have favors in mind for your guests, why not add a watercolor tag with wedding words or expressions of your thanks for their attendance?
A more direct approach would be including some pale colors in the wedding attire, such as a classy bowtie or a pastel ribbon in the wedding dress. Or give a pop to the bridal party and dress them in watercolor-inspired dresses; there are a ton of stellar options on the market.
Jazz up the wedding or reception venue with watercolor on canvas. Give the artwork a personal touch and have it inspired from elements of your wedding, such as your floral arrangements. Jen Huang offers original watercolors, and they are incredible. A cute project could also be to give your guests supplies for watercolors, and have them create a wedding banner.
