After six years together, Boston couple Anthony and Tony got engaged at home while drinking cosmos and watching reality TV. They traveled to Conchas Chinas Beach in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico, for their engagement photos with local wedding photographer, Underground Studio PV. The grooms-to-be were photographed in a variety of romantic engagement photo poses, like laying on the sand while photographed from above by a drone camera, standing waist deep in the water holding hands and smiling at each other, skipping on the beach, one man standing behind his husband-to-be with his hands around his waist, and leaning against each other while perching on a rocky cliff. Literal swoon.

For their engagement outfits, they both wore lightweight linen shirts and pants from Club Monaco, and engagement rings from David Yurman. (We love when men wear engagement rings!)

Anthony and Tony have set a wedding date in the summer of 2025. We caught up with the gay couple about their love story, which started on a dating app.

HOW DID YOU MEET?

We met in a very modern fashion: on the dating app, Tinder. Tony was living in Providence, RI, at the time, so our first date was half-way between Boston and Providence at a Target (yes, we love Target!). Afterwards, we had dinner at a restaurant nearby. Our connection was instantaneous.

WHO PROPOSED AND HOW?

One weeknight while sitting on the couch drinking cosmos and watching Bravo, we got into a discussion about marriage, specifically a discussion about weddings. We were curiously asking each other who we would want to invite to our wedding, and essentially started making a mental wedding guest list. It was at that moment that I, Anthony, asked Tony if he wanted to spend the rest of our lives with one another. He said yes, and the rest is history!

WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT EACH OTHER?

What we love most about each other is our abilities to make one another laugh and feel positive and hopeful even during very stressful and/or difficult times. The Equally Wed heart is a trademark of Palladino Publishing, LLC.
