The National Organization for Marriage (NOM), a fear-mongering, anti-gay rights group that annually pours thousands of dollars into efforts to deny gays and lesbians the right to marry, kicked off the Summer for Marriage Tour 2010 earlier this month. According to the NOM website, the six-week bus tour has already stopped in six U.S. cities and plans to stop in 17 more throughout the East and Midwest foisting their โOne-Man-One-Womanโ message on the masses.
In an effort to fight back, the Courage Campaign and Freedom to Marry have collaborated in tracking the NOM tour at the new NOMTourTracker.com, an interactive blog that will include photos, videos, interviews and on the ground updates from each NOM tour stop, as well as pro-equality counter events. The tour will culminate in Washington D.C. on August 15th. The Courage Campaign and Freedom to Marry has staffers working diligently to expose the pathetic turnout for NOM, while documenting counter-protests on behalf of equality.
If youโd like to support the cause and tell NOM that you believe in marriage equality for all, join a protest in your city or consider donating to the Courage Campaign.
