Wedding bands come in a variety of styles and it’s important you choose a ring design you feel comfortable wearing every day. You don’t have to wear your wedding band on the same finger as your engagement ring, but you can if you want to.

Also, some men don’t wear wedding bands—Prince William followed in his father’s footsteps and has opted not to wear a wedding band since his wedding to Kate Middleton—but you may still need to buy one if you are having a double ring ceremony. Check with your officiant.

While we look to celebrity weddings for style inspiration (wedding dresses, formal wear for men, wedding cakes, flowers), we can also get ideas from their choice of wedding bands. Here are some wedding band look-a-likes from Hollywood’s newest newlyweds:

Dave Annable wears a high polished platinum wedding band similar to this Michael C. Fina design, $1,105

One thing you will notice about many celeb wedding bands (and engagement rings) is that they almost always come in platinum because unlike white gold, the bright color won’t fade over time.

It’s important that both you and your fiancé go wedding band shopping together to find rings that you both love. To browse more wedding band styles visit preciousplatinum.com.
