City dwellers Challie and Lina’s engagement photo session displays their affection for each other and Brooklyn’s neighborhood of Williamsburg. What I found most intriguing about their shoot is that not only is the couple visually captivating, but they managed to show off their personalities and their town in a fun way without looking too posed and stiff. We can’t wait to feature your wedding, Challie and Lina!
From Challie: “Lina and I met on OkCupid, but for the first year or so that we dated, it was easier to tell people that we met at Marlow & Sons (the site of our first date). Now, of course, it’s much more commonplace for couples to share that they met on the Internet, without any embarrassment whatsoever. So I guess you could say I first fell in love with Lina’s profile. Any of my coworkers will tell you I was adamant from very first read that this spectacularly multitalented and well-traveled person from my neighborhood was the one for me. Lina’s friends must admit that she was a bit more skeptical of my profile, but I managed to win her over in person. Two dates in, we were nearly inseparable. Fast forward two-and-a-half years, after moving in together, acquiring new jobs, meeting each other’s families, etc., it was Christmas time and we decided to get our first tree. Christmas Eve, to be exact, we sat on the floor beneath the tree in our living room, excited to open just one gift before the big day. Lina opened hers first (a wallet), then gave me a tiny gift to unwrap. Tearing apart the wrapping paper and opening the small box inside revealed a gleaming diamond, and Lina stated calmly and assuredly, ‘I want to spend every Christmas with you.'”
