Colorado marriage equality supporters have a slim advantage. Public Policy Polling found that four percentage points separate them from gay marriage opponents—47 percent to 43 percent—according to
lezgetreal.com.

With that said, 76 percent of Coloradans support civil unions and 60 percent of them are Republicans. One Colorado executive director, Brad Clark, takes heart in the numbers.

“The verdict is in. Poll after poll shows the same thing,” Clark said. “Every day support for the full legal recognition of gay and lesbian couples grows as Colorado voters come to know our families—Republicans and Democrats alike. Issues like this—with broad public support—deserve a full and fair hearing by the Colorado Legislature.”
