Evan Wolfson, the founder of Freedom to Marry, wed his beau Dr. Cheng He, in New York on Oct. 15. Wolfson, a tireless advocate for gay rights and champion of gay marriage, and He, a management consultant at Philosophy IB, found each other on Gay.com.
In 2008, Wolfson proposed with a GPS navigational unit, The New York Times reports. Along with the roadie aid was a note reading: “Dear Cheng … As we travel life’s journey, I’d be lost without you. Let’s travel together. Will you marry me? Love, Evan.”
At their wedding, the two men wore matching black suits and Hawaiian leis as they exchanged vows under a bamboo wedding canopy. Their wedding cake was topped with the Chinese symbol for double happiness, an image that also appeared on their wedding ties.
Wish the lovebirds a warm congratulations by siging their card on FreedomoMarry.org.
