The State Column is reporting that a bill to legally recognizing gay marriage has “gained significant traction” among Democratic lawmakers in Maryland. Governor Martin O’Malley has already pledged his support to the bill.
If Maryland legally recognizes same-sex marriage, it will become the sixth state to do so.
