WWD is reporting that a new website, The Aisle New York, will introduce members-only shopping to the bridal market starting late next month.
The site, which hasn’t launched yet but you can sign up for membership, will sell gowns (in sizes 2 to 12), costume jewelry, bags, head wear and shoes from luminary labels including Oscar de la Renta, Anne Barge, Elizabeth Fillmore and Alberta Ferretti, all of whom have reportedly signed 18-month e-commerce exclusivity agreements.
NBC is reporting that most merchandise will hail from past seasons, keeping the average discounts at around 50 percent and average price points around $5,900, but full-priced items and exclusive accessories will complete the offerings.
