Swapping out his casual sportswear for something suitable for the everyman wardrobe, Michael Bastian premiered his Barneys New York collaboration last week. Men’s suiting doesn’t suit every designer, as it’s normally not done with as much finesse as the great Tom Ford (in my opinion), but Bastian delivers the basics with a wonderful attention to detail. Preppy suiting complete with carefree traditionalism, your wedding is given a crisp all-American look with wardrobe staples you often don’t think you need.

This exclusive line features the bare essentials ranging from clean-cut suits, shirts and ties, nothing out of the ordinary but perfect for the gentleman who wants an affordable spring look for their wedding. Reasonably priced (two-piece suits for $1,495), Bastian’s usual flair is showcased, favoring those who are looking for an ideal spring wedding look. My recommendation? If you’re planning an outdoor wedding, look to him as a primer for inspiration. Trousers paired with loafers, loose-fitted ties and pastels that are not only matching current trends but transcend the standard black-tie affair stigma put on wedding day staples.
