The theme of this styled wedding inspiration is romantic ivory and purple wedding. What began as some last-minute preparations for a styled photo shoot actually ended up becoming a great wedding theater production and a true-life love story for Ashley and Yvette.
The setting for this production was the beautiful Church Keizersgrachtkerk in the heart of Amsterdam. The floral design was directed and created by the styling team of Lia van Luik & Kim Liesveld. Their creations in the centuries-old church brought a unique and ideal setting for such a romantic wedding. A soft velvety lavender color palette with natural greens complemented the setting, which Antonio Ortega of Exquisite Gay Weddings and his team used to create the beautiful story on a stunningly romantic wedding day.
The ceremony, including the touchingly sensitive performance of the flutist, Paul Smith, was divine. Ashley and Yvette each descended from the two winding staircases leading them to meet at the altar, where they got their first look at their future bride. The sweets table was adorned with a gorgeous balloon sculpture with accents of ivory and purple roses. It set the stage for the toast with the bubbly champagne, blessing the couple with joy. The wedding couple departed from the church in a romantic drive in a bike carriage through the cool winter streets of Amsterdam.
